Azerbaijan kills its stray animals in preparation of Eurovision Song Contest 2012
The Eurovision Song Contest 2012 will be the 57th annual Eurovision Song Contest and will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The two semi-finals will be held on 22 May and 24 May 2012, with the final on 26 May 2012, in Azerbaijan.

Anyone with a heart knows it's wrong to clothesline a baby animal, body slam it to the ground, tie its legs so it can’t move, and drag it by the neck.
If this were done to a puppy or kitten, the offender would understandably be charged with a crime, and likely be jailed. In rodeos, however, it's called calf roping, and supporters claim it’s a sport.

Every year, when the Spanish hunting season ends in late January, the Spanish hunters get rid of their hounds and tens of thousands of Galgos are abandoned or even killed.

Take action against the dog meat trade and consumption in South Korea
In S. Korea, dog meat industry is calculated at $2 billion that results in the annual slaughter of over 2.5 million dogs, served in upwards of 20,000 restaurants nationwide.
That's about 7,000 dogs slaughtered every single day.
It is estimated that over 100,000 tons of dog meat is consumed annually, including 93,600 tons used to produce ‘health’ tonics called "Gae Soju" which is prepared by boiling dogs with various herbs until it become a thick liquid. Cats are also made into these tonics which is called "Goyangyee Soju".
The S. Korean's Animal Protection Law, which was passed in 1991, considers dogs to be "domestic pets," but the shadowy and illicit world of the dog and cat industry flourishes because of the shameful indifference of the S. Korean government and the demand from the consumers.
Today, we are asking that the S. Korean government ban this cruel and inhumane practice of torturing and consuming dogs and cats once and for all.

IAMS is a pet food company that was bought by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in September 1999. In addition to P&G's animal testing practices, IAMS - as a company in its own right - has a legacy of performing invasive, painful and lethal experiments on animals.
These experiments are conducted on a wide range of animals: cats, Beagles, Great Danes, German Shepherds, Sled Dogs (Huskies), Cocker Spaniels, Miniature Poodles, Doberman Pinschers, dogs of "mixed breed", pigs, rats and chicks.

"Animal nutrition is our life's work, but it's only one contributing factor to a pet's well-being. That's why we built the Paul F Iams Technical Care Facility. It's home to a group of dogs and cats that helps us to understand the physical and emotional needs of companion animals.
"The cats and dogs in our animal care facility are treated with the greatest respect. Just like your pet, they're given names and groomed and played with daily..."

Take action against the notorious dog killer, the Brazilian nurse, Camilla Corrêa Alves de Moura Araujo, who killed a little Yorkshire in front of her 18-months-old-child
A Brazilian nurse who was caught on camera repeatedly attacking a dog, which later died of its injuries, has gone into hiding after the video was published on YouTube.
The disturbing video of Camila de Moura abusing the Yorkshire Terrier in front of her 18-month-old daughter was taken by a neighbour living in the same apartment block in Formosa, Brazil.
She originally handed it over to the local police, but posted it online after becoming frustrated that the authorities had not arrested de Moura and were not going to pursue the case.
Despite facing jail time upon conviction, reports indicate that De Moura Araújo only received a fine and community service!
